The Williams Typewriter: Advertisments

BEHOLD! The mighty cache of advertisements that have been found during a recent dive into the Internets dark, shadowy depths.

My word, they're bland.

  1. Not much you can do with a bland name like "Williams" I suppose, and "Miss Williams" certainly doesn't help sell the brand! A far cry from the sexy German ads by Olympia, Adler and Continental etc. :)

    1. The European brands certainly were a bit more flamboyant with it all, that's for sure. Save for British machines, they were just as bland as ever.

    1. I just googled for Williams Typewriter, adding a plethora of other sub-words that helps google find what I want, while searching under "Books" so that it pulls up the old stuff rather than new sites and blogs and what not. I've found that one of the most helpful sub-words is "audit", as it pulls up government auditing records that often include dates of acquisition and serial numbers, alongside costs.
