Yet businessmen knew I was always right, that I deserved the hype.
And offices, for many years,
Had learned to love my planetary gears.
My keys have numbers, big and small,
With them I can do addition, subtraction; Yes, I can do it all.
And as is plain to see, my friend the Fox compliments me
as together, we aid in accountancy.
Nice combination. One dayI'd like to add a nice old Burrough's adding machine to my typewriter collection.
ReplyDeleteThey're certainly right up the typewriter ally, and blend in well. It's fun using it to boot.
DeleteI love my Burroughs comptometer despite the room it takes up on my desk.
ReplyDeleteI was a bit surprised at how big mine was compared to the Fox, but I'm glad I was able to get it to fit on my desk as well.
DeleteThere are adding machine collectors, but I wonder if anyone uses them extensively just for the fun of it, as we do with typewriters. I have a Victor adding machine that I use once in a while, but I wouldn't want to use it for anything long or complicated.
